A pair of early 20th century Chinese hand embroidered silk panels. This pair includes one panel with a red and blue floral design and a black border, and a second longer panel with a white and blue peony floral design, intricately embroidered featuring the “forbidden stitch”, and a sage green ribboned border with a weave to the verso, and stamped ‘Made in China.’

Condition

Consistent with age. Fraying and loose threads throughout. shredding and discoloration throughout embroidery. Stains present.
