Handbuilt Stoneware Miniature Chair Sculpture
Item Details
A handbuilt stoneware sculpture of a slatted chair. This figural piece depicts a high back chair, having a gold lustre half moon disc inset in the the top rail. The chair is without a seat and open to the floor, with the arms resembling tree branches. It is glazed in an opaque grey to white gloss glaze, and upon a layer of mottled green glaze ceramic and set upon a squared wood base. The sculpture is marked with a cipher in the tree form, and a ‘9’ cipher.
