Item Details
A vintage Chinese Chippendale chinoiserie secretary. The wood secretary has a black lacquered finish with gold painted accents throughout. It has a swan neck bonnet top with crown molding above a cabinet with glass doors and black wood shelves inside. The slant front desk opens to reveal divided compartments and and small drawers, with a work surface. There are four full-width drawers below, and the secretary rests on carved ball and claw feet. The secretary is painted with animal, floral, bird and other motifs. No maker’s mark.
