A watercolor and ink painting on paper by listed American artist Robert Herrmann (1922-1996), dated 1995. This work features a partially abstracted coastal scene comprised of saturated hues and delicate ink delineations. The composition is dated and numbered ‘119’ to the lower right. Includes an exhibition catalog from Cincinnati Art Galleries.

Herrmann acquired his formal artistic and architectural training at the University of Cincinnati, University of Wisconsin, Ohio State University, University of Iowa, and Columbia University. While professionally trained, he chose to never exhibit his work publicly, making his first solo exhibit posthumous. He is known for his precisionist style and his paintings of architectural landscapes.
