A sterling silver flatware set by Watson Co. of Attleboro, MA (active 1880-1955). This is in the Percy B. Ball designed Lotus pattern, first introduced in 1935, which features a flared handle with a scalloped and bead accented tip. The ninety-four piece set includes twelve salad forks, eight dinner forks, seven demitasse spoons, eight place spoons, five serving spoons, two pierced serving spoons, eight butter spreaders, six soup spoons, eight teaspoons, eight iced tea spoons, a ladle, a meat fork, a tomato server, a small serving fork, a sugar spoon, a bon bon spoon, a small ladle, a lemon fork, and a pickle fork. They are presented with eight dinner knives, a carving fork and knife set, a master butter knife, a cheese knife, and a pie server, all having stainless blades or tines and sterling hollow handles. Most are marked ‘Sterling’ alongside the maker’s mark to the handles, and many have personalized engravings. The total approximate weight, excluding utensils with stainless blades and tines, is 112.375 ozt.
