Late 18th Century Joseph Myatt Redware Teapot

An antique English Joesph Myatt redware teapot. The cylindrical piece features a series of intricate carved waves with diamond breaks to the red clay that continues along the angled spout and slightly domed lid. An oblate finial adorns the lid while the curved handle has a series of square impressions along the side. The base offers large beads as well. The piece is impressed with a meandering square to the underside. Joseph Myatt produced pottery in Lane Delph near Stoke-on-Trent in the late eighteenth century.
