A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of scarlet, ivory, black, cobalt, fern, and clementine. The scarlet colored field features an all-over herati pattern that flows over the stepped diamond pendant medallion, and the black and ivory grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a stylized unresolved herati main border, along with meandering ribbon and Hamadan guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
