Hand-Knotted Persian Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian carpet runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of cocoa, ruby, hot pink, teal, taupe and cream. It features an artfully antiqued tribal-style design beginning with five hooked pole medallions over a cocoa lozenge. The lozenge rests on a ruby field amid geometric motifs. Framing the field are three borders, featuring geometric patterns, including a laleh abbasi reciprocal outer guard border. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with cotton warp fringe. A label on the reverse reads ‘Made in Iran.’
