Hand-Knotted Persian Wool Carpet Runner

Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of crimson, sepia, carnation, clementine, ivory, wheat, silver, and sky blue. The crimson hued field features a pole of three lobed medallions each grounded in a sepia colored lozenge, and featuring a floral theme. The pole ends in palmette pendants, and the field features flowering vine-work throughout, as well as partial medallions to the spandrels. Framing the field is a colorful Hamadan border over ivory, and a chained circle border as well. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
