Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Nain room size rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a pastel palette of sky blue, dove grey, midnight blue, moss green,white, ocher, cerulean and black. It has a prominent central circular medallion on a field patterned with arabesqued vines, lancet leaves, and Shah Abassipalmettes. It is framed with floral meander guard borders and a herati pattern main border. Finished with overcast selvedges and natural warp fringe to either end. Marked to verso.
