Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Qashqai Wool Are Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Qashqai area rug. This wool rug offers an all-over diagonal pattern with rows of S motif stripes framed with indigo X repeats. The alternating stripes and borders are worked in red, green, light blue and ivory. Framing the rug are quatrefoil flower guards with a main border of cruciform hooked devices. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with wool warp fringe at either end. It is labeled with a tag to the verso indicating country of origin.
