An original signed watercolor on paper by listed Cincinnati artist Frank McIlwain. The work depicts a red apple shown on a pure white surface, the painting rendered in an impressionistic style with speckles of applied color and with a beautiful display of light and shadow. The watercolor is pencil-signed to the lower right corner and displayed under glass in triple mats of medium gray and beige and a narrow gilded wooden frame, wired to the back for wall attachment.
