Alabaster Lion Bookends

A pair of alabaster lion bookends. This pair of bookends fashioned from the alabaster variety of the mineral gypsum each depict a male lion in a reclining position with head down. One bookend is labeled ‘NYC Public Library lions’ although the lions in from of the library both have their head upright.
