Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Bakhshayesh Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, ivory, indigo, powder blue, emerald, tan and mauve. The powder blue colored field features star pendant medallions along with flowering and palmette vines. Joining the field are crimson grounded spandrels in the field colors. A samovar patterned ivory border frames the rug, finishing with overcast selvedges and a kilim skirt with warp fringe to each end. The rug is not labeled.
