Item Details
A hand-knotted vintage Persian Kashan palace size rug. This rug is hand-knotted in a palette of cherry, mustard yellow, midnight blue, slate blue, pink, green, cream, and golden ocher. The field features a scalloped diamond shaped central medallion with an all over design of curvilinear vines, lancet leaves, and palmettes. It is framed with carnation meander guard borders and a herati motif main border. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end. Marked to verso.
