A handwoven Mexican or South American wool carpet runner. This flatweave rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, charcoal, walnut, carnation, clementine, olive, rose, and wheat. The field features a patchwork design in alternating ivory and charcoal grounds each depicting a geometrically shaped symbol, with some possibly depicting a tree, a river, and tools, while framed in a solid walnut hued border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a fine cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
