1950s Vintage Black Leather Cylindrical Handbag
Item Details
A 1950s vintage black leather cylindrical handbag. The design has smooth black leather with dual hand straps, a hinged round top featuring a gold tone open work medallion to the center, a magnetic snap closing and metal base rest. The medallion features the depiction of early 20th century figures in ball gowns, a tuxedo and a top hat embellished with rhinestones, coral tone and turquoise toned beading. The interior has a gray suede lining with a mirror to the underside of the top. A purse resembling this handbag was featured in the 1956 film “ The Hustler” starring Paul Newman.
