Limoges Porcelain Trinket Box

Item Details

A Limoges porcelain trinket box. The box features a circular medallion with a couple in antiquated clothing conversing outdoors surrounded by gilt foliage to the black ground. There is a gilt scroll border to the hinged lid and an embossed wave pattern to the edges. The box was made in France and is marked ‘Limoges Veritable Porcelaine D’art’ within a shield emblem to the underside.

Condition

- residue to underside; wear to gilding.
