An original oil painting on canvas board by listed Canadian artist John Powell Hunt (1854 – 1932). The painting depicts a pastoral landscape featuring four cows drinking from a winding stream. The stream cuts through a grassy field dotted with trees and bushes, and a glowing pale blue and pink sky fills the space above the scene. The painting is signed in red to the lower right.
