A vintage machine made Anglo-Persian style pictorial rug by Whittall. This wool rug is presented in a ‘Bird of Paradise’ pattern #333. It has been worked in watermelon, onyx, grey, cream and slate blue. The field is populated by a directional design including large lowers and bird of paradise. The rug is framed with a complimentary floral border finishing with a fabric backing bound at all sides along with applied knotted golden fringe at either end. It is labeled with a tag to the verso.
