A charcoal and graphite drawing on paper titled Late Wife by well-listed American artist Ricardo Morin (Venezuela, b. 1954), dated to 1989. The piece is signed and dated to the lower center. It is presented unmounted and unframed in an acetate sleeve.

Morin immigrated to the United States from Venezuela in 1972. Based in New York and New Jersey, Morin received his B.F.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.F.A. at Yale University. His work has been exhibited at multiple institutions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York; the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts in Brooklyn, New York; and many others. He is most well-known for his non-objective abstract paintings that exhibit a combination of linear delineation and fluidity.

- smudging to charcoal typical of medium; spots of discoloration to verso.
