A xylograph on paper by listed artist Ricardo Morin (Venezuela/America; b. 1954), dated 1976. This piece depicts a linear rendering of an elderly woman with flowing, long hair. The artist’s signature is present to the lower right corner of the image and the edition is present to the lower left. This print is presented as loose work.

Morin immigrated to the United States from Venezuela in 1972. Based in New York and New Jersey, Morin received his B.F.A. at the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.F.A. at Yale University. His work has been exhibited at multiple institutions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York; the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts in Brooklyn, New York; and many others. He is most well-known for his non-objective abstract paintings that exhibit a combination of linear delineation and fluidity.
