Item Details
An antique Victorian Eastlake upholstered oak platform rocking chair. The chair features a turned and upholstered crest rail over ball and stick spindles and an upholstered panel flanked by turned stiles topped by brass-capped, turned finials. The padded, upholstered seat is flanked by arms with upholstered armrests and brass-capped ball handholds on turned supports. The base features metal springs, incised supports and legs, and turned stretchers. The upholstery is an salmon velvet. There are no visible maker’s marks.
