A copy oil painting on canvas of Luigi Serra, titled The Apparition of the Virgin to St Francis of Assisi and Bonaventure. This painting depicts the titular figure emerging from a bush of white flowers adorned in a flowing gown, levitating in the air with cross arms. One figure kneels to pray while the other looks upward inquisitively against the pastoral landscape. The unsigned painting is wrapped over a wooden stretcher with hanging wire to the verso.

- there are minor to moderate markings throughout; the paint is peeling at the edges; discoloration to pigment.
