A circa 1920 Chinese handbag in gold silk velvet and brocade with the front fold over flap displaying the forbidden stitch, gold couching decoration and an antique cast bronze buckle embellishment. The interior of the handbag is in gold silk brocade with an oval mirror and a knotted silk cord.

Condition

The forbidden stitch areas are in good condition, the gold couching is unraveled in many areas and will require restoration. The silk interior of the clutch is in good condition and the oval mirror is original.
