Pair of Ocean Liner Chairs from SS United States
Item Details
A pair of ocean liner arm chairs, designed by Dorothy Marckwald (1898-1986), unmarked. Each has a brushed aluminum frame with curved back rail, arm rail and seat, upholstered in the original, orange wool fabric. Circa 1950s. The SS United States was the fastest ocean liner in its time.
