Antique Catholic Viaticum Last Rites and Altar Cabinet
Item Details
An antique Catholic Viaticum last rites and altar cabinet. An oak wood cabinet that is circa 1910 and features a shadow box design displaying a stained glass door with a reverse painted design with crosses, angels and spires and the words ‘Laudamus Te’ in black. The glass panel displays a plaster statue of Mary holding the body of Jesus in a shadow box. The bottom of the altar displays a wood framed door that displays a glass covered print of the last supper and a storage compartment. The altar has a paper and wood backing with a wire for hanging and there are no apparent makers marks.
