An unfired clay sculpture by an anonymous artist. This bust depicts a modeled portrait study of a bald-headed person with a cleft chin and hooked nose. The clay structure has been filled with a newspaper support, and there are no maker’s marks.

Condition

- chipping to ears and base; surface irregularities throughout; minor surface wear and abrasions; newspaper to center visible to underside.
