Antique Provincial Louis XVI Walnut Sideboard
Item Details
An antique Provincial Louis XVI walnut enfilade-doored sideboard, French, circa 1780-1810. This well-crafted enfilade features mortise and tenon construction with fine details throughout. It has an overhung rectangular top with breadboard ends, beveled edges and clipped front corners. It includes three large cabinets, each with a pair of molded, raised panel doors fitted with locks and pierced brass escutcheons, with finely turned vertical spindle accents to either side. The doors open to reveal shelves. The enfilade rests on eight short, square, tapered and fluted legs. There is no visible maker’s marks. Please note, except for the keys, the contents of cabinet are not included.

Condition
- surface marks, scuffs, dings, scratches and wear throughout; metal hardware has oxidation and rust, comes with a collection of seven skeleton keys in various sizes, however keys have not been tested in locks; evidence of worm holes to some of the doors
