Antique Poetry Books Including "Excelsior Editions" of Moore and Longfellow

A collection of six antique poetry books. The Poetical Works of Thomas Moore (The American News Company, c. 1880s) and The Early Poems of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (Houghton, Mifflin and Company, 1887) are both marked ‘Excelsior Edition’ on the spine and are bound in red cloth-covered boards in the same style with ornate gilt and black cover decoration. This collection also includes matching editions of The Poetical Works of Alfred Tennyson and The Poetical Works of John Greenleaf Whittier from the Household Edition of the Poets (Houghton, Mifflin and Company, c. 1890s); The Poetical Works of Lord Byron (P. F. Collier, n.d.); and The Household Book of Poetry, edited by Charles A. Dana (D. Appleton and Company, 1859).
