Vintage Reuge Cylinder "Tristesse" By Frédéric Chopin Music Box
Item Details
A vintage Reuge cylinder music box which plays Tristesse (3 parts) by Frédéric Chopin. The piece features a walnut housing in a rectangular shape with a single gold tone embellishment to the front and four bracket feet. The lid is supported by a single piano hinge and the original paper song title label is affixed to the interior of the lid. The Reuge workings of the piece are displayed to the interior beneath a single glass pane. The piece is marked ‘Reuge’ to the knob and ‘Made in Switzerland’ to the underside.
