A mid-century Westclox Moon Beam alarm clock. A mid-century clock with a deco style that was known as ‘The considerate alarm clock’ with its use of a buzzer and light for an alarm. The clock has a buzzer that gradually increases in volume and a light that flashes and increases in intensity giving an alarm that will gently awaken and a snooze button on the top of the case. The clock has a plastic case that has an asymmetrical design and a yellow finish with a plastic cover that displays a black face with white Arabic numbers and gold tone hands. Other features of the clock include setting knobs on the verso, a brown electrical cord and the clock stands on a brass plinth style base. The clock is marked ‘Westclox’ on the face and verso.
