Antique L.S. & S. Porcelain and Earthenware Bone Dishes
Item Details
A selection of antique crescent bone dishes. Featured are six L. Straus & Sons porcelain dishes with delicate floral sprays and gilding to the curvilinear edges. They were produced between 1887-1918 and are marked ‘LS&S Carlsbad Austria’ to the underside. Also included are six earthenware dishes with hand-embellished transfer printed floral designs in a variety of patterns and gilding to the scalloped edges. They have no visible maker’s mark which is typical of wares produced in the 19th century.
