Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Sarouk area rug. This wool rug offers large flower sprays scattered densely in the field starting from the center with large shah abbasi. It is rendered in magenta, sapphire, apricot, ivory, onyx, coffee, yellow-green, moss, and salmon. Framing the rug are reciprocal sawtooth and carnation meander borders in the field colors. Selvedges are overcast, finishing with ivory warp fringe at either end. It is not labeled.
