A set of six sterling silver spoons from the mid-19th century by Hotchkiss & Schreuder of Syracuse, NY (active 1857-1895). Each piece features a pointed oval bowl on a tipped fiddle handle with pointed shoulders and a personalized engraving. They are stamped to the backs with the ‘H & S’ maker’s mark alongside ‘Sterling’ and the retailer’s mark for S.J. Child of Clyde and Danville, NY (active c.1854-1865). The total approximate weight is 5.830 ozt.
