A carved soapstone sculpture by African Shona artist Abraham R. Chikumbirike of Zimbabwe. This piece is carved from a dark green stone and depicts a man from the thighs up with a feathered headband, necklace, and armbands holding a staff in one hand and gourd in the other. It has a great attention paid to the figure and details, and has an inscribed signature near the base on the man’s left leg.

- scratches to surface; surface level cracks; marks to surface; accretion to crevices.
