A Gustav Becker Viennese regulator wall clock. A circa 1920, classic style Gustave Becker clock with a walnut finish on select hardwoods and veneers and applied molding. The clock has a decorative oak wood crest with a lion face and urn finials on reeded columns, ring turned side columns and glass side panels. Other features of the clock include a glass front door that displays a white metal face with a brass center ring and bezel, black Roman numerals, two brass key arbors and gold tone serpentine hands. The clock has a brass pendulum, an 8-day, time and strike weight driven Gustave Becker movement, a winding key and a plinth style shelf above a tapered burl mahogany base with urn finial accents and a hook for hanging on the verso. The clock is marked ‘Gustav Becker’ on the interior.
