A vintage French style Renaissance shelf clock. A French style electrical clock by Renaissance with a Rococo design that features a metal case with a gold tone finish. The case has acanthus leaves and a scrollwork finial with decorative side handles and an ornate base with scrollwork and metal stones in relief. Other features of the clock include a brass framed glass cover that displays a gold tone face with white hour markers with black Roman numerals and serpentine style hands with a gilded sweep hand. The clock has a setting knob on the verso and an electrical cord and stands on cabriole legs with pad feet. The clock is marked ‘Renaissance’ on the face.
