Chinese Hand-Painted Ceramic Urn

A Chinese hand-painted ceramic urn. This urn is decorated with a charming scene of young herdboys and a water buffalo, a classic visual symbol of filial piety. A cursive poetic inscription is present to the verso, otherwise unmarked. Produced in the late 19th century during the late Qing dynasty (1644). Presented with a non original wooden lid.
