Vintage French Style Chest of Drawers by Karges

Item Details

A vintage French style chest of drawers by Karges of Evansville, Indiana. The chest has a rectangular top with a beveled edge, above a row of concave dovetailed drawers at the top, and additional dovetailed drawers below, with beaded trim. The drawers have ornate brass wreath style pulls, and corners of the chest are embellished with brass accents. The piece rises on square, tapered legs joined by a carved apron with ribbon and scroll motifs. A Karges plaque appears inside one of the drawers.
