1920s Homemade or Hand Built Kit Radio Receiver in A-1 Woodworking Housing

A circa 1920s housing homemade or hand built kit radio in an A-1 Woodworking Co. Los Angeles, California housing. The piece features walnut housing with black early plastic knobs. It features a hinged lid and holes pierced to the back for various wires. It retains its ‘A-1 Woodworking Co. Los Angeles Calif.’ makers plaque to the interior of the lid. There is nothing to indicate the bands that it receives.

Condition

- no speaker noted; seems to be missing other parts and knobs; some markings and wear to housing and remaining knobs; some oxidation; untested.
