A Japanese style gouache painting on a fabric-covered folding screen. This piece features warriors on horses, riding in a sparse landscape rendered on four panels. There is an inscription and red seal to the left edge of the piece. Each panel has a decorative hanger to the upper edge.

Condition

- some accretion and stains to image area; puncture to far right panel toward the lower right; nicks and scratches to frame; punctures to the verso of screen.

Dimensions

- measures frame; visible image measures 68.75" W x 34.5" H; screen folds down to 17.75" W x 36" H.
