An oil painting on canvas after listed artist Donald Roller Wilson (born 1938). This piece depicts a chimpanzee sitting in a forest while wearing a red dress and earrings with a ruffled white collar and a crown made of roses, petunias, grapes, candy canes, and other flowers. It is signed illegibly to the lower right. This work is similar to Donald Roller Wilson’s Cookie at Sixteen, with Candy Canes, switching the color of her dress from blue to red. It is presented in a gold tone wood and gesso frame with floral molded ornamentation and wire to the verso for hanging.
