An original signed limited edition artist’s proof lithograph on paper by well-listed French cartoonist Raymond Peynet (1908 – 1999), titled Lovers. The print depicts a stylized image of two young lovers standing in a tall harp, surrounded by surreal imagery including animals, plants, and figures. The print is signed, numbered 15/25, and labeled ‘EA’ for ‘Epreuve d’Artiste’ or ’Artist’s Proof’ in graphite to the lower margin. It is double-matted in white and metallic gold tone and is presented behind glass in a composite frame with brushed gold tone finish and a hanging wire.
