Vintage Chippendale Style Mahogany Standing Desk by Kittinger

Item Details

A vintage Chippendale style mahogany merchant’s desk. The wood standing desk has a slanted, green leather covered writing surface, with a shallow ledge along the bottom, and it lifts up to reveal storage space and several divided compartments within. A full-width drawer on the front is fitted with brass handles, and there are also brass handles on the sides. The desk rests on straight, square reeded legs with pierced corner brackets and H stretchers. The front stretcher is clad in brass, and the drawer interior is marked and labeled ‘Kittinger – Buffalo’.
