Item Details

A mid-century modern style chalkware or composite table lamp with a two-tier fiberglass shade. The lamp has two sockets, one large, the other small, a harp and finial, and a rotary switch on the base. The surfaces are finished in an ivory tone with random flecks of green. The body is formed of looping spiral bands accented in green and gold which become organic folds when viewed from the back and culminate in a small socket with an abstract shade. The bands connect to a pyramidal base. The parchment tone double fiberglass shade features a short cylindrical shade with integrated black hair-like squiggles and a larger shade with an undulating shape with a woven look augmented with Atomic-style stars. There is a similar lamp in lot 18CHI086-112.
