A sterling silver flatware set by International Silver Co. This is in the Alfred G. Kintz designed Royal Danish pattern, first introduced in 1939, which features a reed accented handle with an openwork and scrolled tip. The eighty-four piece set includes twelve dinner forks, twelve salad forks, twelve iced tea spoons, twelve teaspoons, twelve butter spreaders, and twelve soup spoons, all marked ‘Sterling’ along with the maker’s mark. They are presented with twelve dinner knives that have stainless blades and sterling hollow handles. The set comes in a wooden flatware chest with blue felt-like interior lining. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives with stainless blades, is 99.160 ozt.
