Pair of Decorative Items

Item Details

A pair of decorative items including a porcelain figurine in striped pants and maroon coat. The piece is accented to the base with a gilded stripe and the piece bears the artist mark of crossed branches with an ‘S’ underneath, to the underside. Also included in this lot is a small portrait of a woman reverse painted on a convex glass pane. The portrait is mounted on maroon and gold cloth and housed in a gold toned metal frame embellished with a torch and ribbons pediment and acanthus leaves around the border. The frame has a stand to the verso and the piece is marked, ‘11262 Miss Cuerth.’
