A sterling silver service for twelve in Towle’s pattern Old Colonial. The pattern is unique having faceted bowls on the spoons and forks with scrolled foliate detailing and a classical urn and finial at the tip of the handle. The flatware set comprises; twelve new French hollow knives (8.50’) with stainless steel blades, twelve dinner forks (7.00’), twelve salad forks (6.25’), twenty-four teaspoons (5.50’), four five o’clock spoons (5.25’), one sugar shell (5.75’), one pickle fork (6.00’), one cold meat fork (7.25’), one serving spoon (8.50’), one master butter knife with stainless steel blade, one butter knife with a stainless steel blade and one butter knife with a sterling silver blade. The set is presented in a storage box with a tarnish resistant lining and the total weight NOT to include the knives and butter knives with stainless blades is 64.560 ozt.
