Chinese Lidded Ceramic Jar

Item Details

A Chinese lidded jar featuring a stylized urn shape and fields of light purple, white and red embellished with a floral and foliate design. The piece is further accented with scrolls in yellow and light green, stylized figural dog handles and a large stylized figural dog with gold toned orb to the lid. The piece bears an apocryphal Jiaqing reign mark, however, the vase was produced in the late Republic period (1912-1949) or later in the 20th century.
